This 24V AC digital remote wall thermostat works with PTAC and VTAC units with 2 fan speeds. It can be used with Single Stage Cooling/Single Stage Heat (Resistance Heat) and 2-Stage Heating/1-Stage cooling systems. 2-Stage heat includes heat pump and resistance heat. It requires a 7-wire hook-up for 2 stage heat systems. The remote wall thermostat has an easy to read display and three easy to use slide switches: Mode (Cool/Off/Heat), Fan (Auto/On) and Fan Speed (low/high). Soft touch buttons are used to increase or decrease the temperature setting. Electrical rating: 24 VAC (1830 VAC); 1 amp maximum per terminal; 4 amp maximum total load; Operating temperature range: 40F99F (4C37C); Temperature set range: 60F85F (15C29C); Accuracy: ± 1F (± 0.5C); System configurations: Factory Setting: 2-stage heat (heat pump/resistance heat), 1-stage cool, 2-speed fan; Alternate Setting: 1-stage heat (resistance heat), 1-stage cool, 2-speed fan; Terminations: R, C, W, Y, GH, GL, B; Wiring: Maximum wiring length is 66ft (20 meters) for AWG18; Maximum wiring length is 60ft (18 meters) for AWG20; This item replaces the RAK148D2 and RAK164D2 thermostats.
